The Future of “PlayStation All-Stars”

Battle Royale has been with us for little over a month and it has been generally well received. Here at Radio PlayStation we found a particular liking for the game and Saturday Smackdowns every Saturday connect some of the community who love the game as well. People can debate on the games strengths and weaknesses, on what should have been included or excluded, yet I think there is one thing about Battle Royale that is certain; Superbot Entertainment succeeded in creating a “celebration” of years of PlayStation gaming. Yet, what will be the future of PlayStation All-Stars? In the title, it seems like “PlayStation All-Stars” is a broad title and “Battle Royale” is a specific game in a bigger series. This made me think, what if Sony commissioned more PlayStation All-Stars IPs? What if they developed a PlayStation All-Stars: Karting Galore or a Kingdom Hearts-esque rpg, containing the best faces of the PlayStation Universe? They could create a giant package of mini games like NintendoLand or Mario Party. Now, I’m not suggesting that Sony start leeching off of other successful franchises, but merely throwing out examples of how Sony could and should expand their universe. The celebration shouldn’t stop with Battle Royale–though it too should be constantly evolved–Sony should branch out into creating a conglomerate of PlayStation Fun–there’s a title.
What do you think? Should Sony branch out or should they focus on maintaining Battle Royale? What would you like to see from Battle Royale in the future?
