Papers, Please Developer Looking to Bring the Game to PS Vita
In an interview with VG247, Papers, Please creator Lucas Pope announced that he would love to see the game come to Sony’s PS Vita handheld. Other developers have expressed interest in porting the game but Pope has admitted that he is “the only one to have touched its source code and assets” and that he is “a control freak”. He said ” I am 50 percent I want to do it myself and 50 percent I should just hand it off to somebody who knows what they’re doing and can take it over for me”.
Obviously the game would have to make changes in terms of UI in the transition from PC to Vita. He says “there’s a lot of kind of interesting UI challenges to make it work well on Vita”. Pope is also looking to move on to future projects “I got to do something else, I got to move on to something else”. Papers, Please has been a huge success for Lucas Pope and has garnered critical acclaim for its unique blend of gameplay and narrative.
