Playstation Vita Slim confirmed for US; new Vita games announced

Sony has now confirmed at a recent event that the Playstation Vita Slim will be coming to the US “sometime this spring.” Also known as the Vita 2000, it comes with a variety of changes to the system, including a slimmer and lighter model than the original, a new LCD screen, and a longer battery life.

The new Vita Slim comes bundled with Borderlands 2 for Vita, which also now confirms this game, and an 8GB memory card. You will also be allowed to cross save, and BL2 for Vita comes with 6 of the previous DLC packs.


Coupled with this new Vita announcement comes two new games to the Vita: The God of War Collection and The Sly Cooper Collection. The GoW collection includes God of War 1 and 2, and releases May 6th for 29.99. The Sly Cooper Collection, which features all 3 Playstation 2 games (Thievius Racconus, Band of Thieves and Honor Among Thieves). The Sly Collection on Vita Slim will be available on May 27th.
